In a world where many things happen in our lives, we experience things which can traumatize us. As we grow older, without the proper help, we can take these events into the future with us. That is what we don’t want because it sticks with you. When something traumatic happens to you, it affects you mentally. Your emotions are a powerful thing and these emotions can turn on you in a flash. One day you can be angry and not even realize it. Taking your anger out on family and friends is how people lose relationships. The thing you have to remember is that it is a working process.
I personally think it’s easier than it sounds. It is definitely different for others but I talked about it, wrote about, and erased it from my memory. These are ways to forget about those people. If you let those traumatic events run around in your head everyday, you will be miserable. When you are the victim, you want to move on from the past. I say it’s best to move somewhere new if you can. Getting a fresh start with new people. If you can’t leave immediately, then take a much needed trip. I plan to take a trip alone somewhere by myself because I still have stress about certain things. Not thinking of the negatives makes me more positive but no one can be truly happy. There is too much that goes on in our lives to be fully happy.
The human brain makes us remember certain details that we wanna forget about. It also hides those details from us to protect us. As the brain does it’s job, we have to do ours. It may be hard to not think about certain things but we have to. I’m not trying to force people to forget about things. You don’t have to, but that is why you have to work on it. You work on it so that you don’t take it to the future with you. Don’t let these problems ruin what could be a better life for you. Like I said before, these are working problems. It’s not something that you automatically fix overnight but it is possible.
