#Black History Month: Lawyer, Newspaper Editor & Publisher “Robert Sengstacke Abbott”

Talk about having an education and big goals. Robert Sengstacke Abbott was a lawyer and due to his race, he was unable to practice. Cruel and unfair treatment but we aren’t surprised because this was in 1898. He started a black newspaper called “The Chicago Defender” and it was known as the best black newspaper out there. Without him, there would be no Ebony, Black Essence, or Black Enterprise magazine. This man did a lot and it’s sad to see how racism ruined his education. He is one a the true self made millionaires and he will me remembered on this powerful month.

Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am a college student and I am curious about everything. When I get curious, I need to talk about it. Life is amazing and weird at the same time. This is why we must stay positive so that we can enjoy life before it ends.

Wanna say something...
