#Black History Month: Shirley Chisholm

Shirley Chisholm, the first black woman elected to congress. She definitely deserves to be honored. She did something that changed history. Being the first black anything is an achievement. She represented the New York Democratic Party in the late 60’s. I would say she is a pioneer because we now have more women of color in the offices. We now have a black vice president. It only get better when change happens. She was a pioneer, activist and a great inspiration to many women nowadays. She will be remembered.

Wanna say something...
